One Little, Two Little, Three Little Pumpkins!
Materials:
3 sheets of (8 1/2 x 11) paper per child
Orange washable paint
crayons
green marker
Scissors
Fold construction paper lengthwise (hot dog style). Then fold in half width wise (hamburger style) and fold in half again. Open the paper up to find eight spaces. Make a cut on the folds halfway down to the fold that is lengthwise (see orange lines in picture 1). This will give you four flaps. Continue with two sheets of paper. Cut out the square that is orange in picture 2. Glue the yellow in picture 2 on top of the green square in picture 1. Have children count the spaces and number the flaps 1-10. Inside the flaps, have children use thumbprints to create the number of “pumpkins” that is represented on each flap.
