Demonstrate how primary colors are combined to create secondary colors. Display the color monkeys to demonstrate equations and match the hats to each color monkey. Attach the color names to the color monkeys to reinforce color words. Then, play Match-It™ to practice color matching and pattern matching.
To decorate your display, tape the palm tree fronds for a 3-D effect. Score coconuts for holding color words and hats, and then score 2 geckos for plus and equal signs. Adhere cup hooks to the board for making equations. Score the palm tree and store game pieces in each slot. Label them for 2 draw piles and 4 players. Insert 5 cards for each player, store other cards in draw piles. Follow game directions to play.
