Here’s a memorable way to celebrate birthdays. Create acrostic poems with the birthday student’s name, using letters and sentence strips. Divide students into teams; one for each letter. Each team composes a line about the birthday student, and writes it on the strip. Display the finished strips and surround them with other decorative pieces from the set. Invite each team to read their poem out loud. The birthday student will long remember this special day!
