National Read A Book Day is a fantastic opportunity to encourage the love of reading!

Reading will benefit students throughout their lives. Making reading an enjoyable and fascinating experience will help them stay the course.
Reading aloud to students transports them to a magical place different from real life, somewhere new and exhilarating. Reading a book and making a craft helps students to retain and relate to the message in the story. In addition, students can use their craft as a prop to act out the scenarios in the story.

Crafts and reading help feed a child’s imagination. These activities foster creativity, focus on motor and artistic abilities, and improve language skills. Kids love working with their hands. The sense of joy that a child experiences participating in arts and crafts are an asset for developing many skills.

You can build plenty of classroom fun with innovative and easy craft ideas; with simple materials, you will create a sense of fun! We invite you to explore our favorite books with props, crafts, and activities kids will surely enjoy.
