Back-to-School Patterns
Students will enjoy using the patterns on the following pages to enhance many of the activities in this book. The patterns can be enlarged or reduced for their needs. Reproducing them on transparency film is simple, too, and you may wish to do so for your own lessons. Enlarge the patterns with an overhead projector. Have students trace them on paper taped to a blank wall. These huge patterns can be used for murals, to illustrate big books, and even for props in class plays. Bookmarks, name tags, and bulletin boards are a few more uses–and you’ll come up with lots more of your own! The patterns can be colored, cut, and laminated.
