Create a Featured Display to show students different cultures and traditions. Honoring the traditions of others is a wonderful way for students to build community spirit. Invite students to share the family and cultural traditions they will celebrate each month. Post the header and calendar for each month and have students list on note pad sheets the special days they will celebrate. Encourage students to share how they celebrate with their families. For more information on special days, search the Internet and add drawings, pictures, and facts to your monthly display.
